Draft for legal review. Company details and policy values (5 Sims, 180…) fill in from Settings → Brand & company and Legal & policies. Replace every remaining [PLACEHOLDER] and have a lawyer approve this page before launch.
This page explains how 5 Sims responds to requests for user data from police, courts and other authorities.
What we need
- Requests must be sent by an official from an official address to [email protected], on letterhead, and identify the authority, the legal basis, and the specific account, order or phone number with dates.
- Requests from outside [Not set: Governing law] may need to come through a mutual legal assistance process.
- We reject requests that are overly broad or not legally valid.
What we may hold
Account email and name, sign-in and IP history, orders (service, country, number, times), SMS text for up to 180 days, and payment records. We do not hold the content of a user's accounts at other services.
Emergencies
If there is an imminent risk of death or serious harm, write "EMERGENCY" in the subject; we may disclose limited information without a court order where the law allows.
Notifying users
We tell the affected user about a request unless the law or a court order forbids it, or telling them would put someone at risk.
Records and transparency
Every request and disclosure is logged internally and reviewed. [OPTIONAL: we publish yearly counts of requests received and answered.]
